Web Designer

As a Web Designer, you will be primarily responsible for developing our website from scratch and maintain it throughout. You will also find yourself working as part of a wider IT team alongside qualified IT professionals within the organisation. We will expect you to attain the highest standards of technical and regulatory compliance and and in return will give you a comprehensive range of benefits package and a truly supportive environment to work at.

We cater them with referrals for their admission process. Our team go the extra mile to make life easier for our prospective students and the educational institutes at the same time.

As a Web Designer, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Design our website from scratch which will be the first contact point for our clients across the globe;
  • maintain the site in a manner that our clients can stay with us throughout the entire period of sale and after sale as registering, customer service, referral;
  • continuously updating and upgrading the design so that our financial products and services do not appear in a stagnant presentation to our regular and new clients;
  • keeping up to date with recent technological and software developments;
  • carry out coding using the state of the art software;
  • continuous search engine optimisation;
  • meet relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy;
  • edit content, debug code and re-design web pages;
  • continuously test the website to ensure it's working without a millisecond of interruption;
  • research current design trends;
  • undertake CPD activities to keep up to date with new software developments, etc.
  • work with different content management systems
  • consider search engine optimisation (SEO)
  • design the website's visual imagery and ensure it's in line with company branding policy or the requirements
  • work with other web specialists, including database developers and graphic designers
  • liaise with outside agencies
  • test the website to ensure it's working
  • research current design trends.
  • Install security protections on our website
  • Ensure websites function on a variety of devices

As a Web Designer, your skills and qualifications will include:

Qualification
  • Relevant qualification at degree level
Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in relevant field
A methodical approach
  • For those working with tech, a methodical approach is vital. The ideal candidate should understand procedure and best practice, whilst having fantastic attention to detail
Numerical skills and problem solving
  • Numerical skills are vital for all ideal candidates, as you’ll be working with numbers day in, day out.
Interpersonal skills
  • As with any role that’s office based, communication is key – whether that’s with clients or your colleagues. Therefore, this skill is essential for this vacancy

Salary: £27,000.00 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week
